Priority decisions

What deserves your attention today.

Three prompts, ordered by commercial weight. Each carries the movement, the driver, and the action Ana would take.

Inventory · Home & Outdoor

Established

BBQ inventory is 11 weeks over cover with six trading weeks left.

What happened

Charcoal and gas SKUs are carrying 18.4 weeks of cover against a category target of 6–10 weeks. Sell-through has flattened since mid-June and the top 12 SKUs account for 71% of the overhang.

Why it matters

Cooler-than-forecast June and a delayed promotional slot in the July flyer. Suppliers have committed shipments for a further four weeks against a plan we no longer trade to.

Estimated impact

£480Kworking capital release

Suggested action · Pull the July markdown forward to next Monday and pause replenishment on the top 12 SKUs.

Digital · Checkout

Investigate

Checkout drop-off on iOS Safari has climbed two weeks running.

What happened

iOS Safari checkout completion fell from 71% to 66% since the 14 June front-end release. Android and desktop are unchanged.

Why it matters

The release changed the payment sheet timing; a fraction of Apple Pay sessions hit a 12-second wait and abandon. The engineering log shows the same signature since deployment.

Estimated impact

£34Kweekly revenue at risk

Suggested action · Route to engineering for a same-day reproduction on device and revert the payment-sheet change if confirmed.

Customer · Loyalty

Established

Lapsed silver-tier members respond 4.2× to a single re-engagement mailer.

What happened

April's control cell to 8,000 lapsed silver members lifted 60-day repeat purchase from 3.1% to 13.1% with no observed cannibalisation of gold-tier spend.

Why it matters

The cohort has 9–15 months of purchase history and a clear response signal to lifecycle triggers. The mailer template is already approved and CRM capacity is available in week 29.

Estimated impact

£210Kincremental gross profit

Suggested action · Schedule the mailer for week 29 across the full 92k eligible cohort with a 10% holdout for measurement.
